Although it’s located right in the center of the city, Ansley Park can feel more like a quiet suburb. Luxurious living, stunning green space, good shopping, and convenient location/MARTA accessibility are all perks of living in Ansley Park.

History
Railroad and real estate maven Edwin Ansley developed this area in conjunction with the Adair brothers. It was marketed as an upscale alternative to Inman Park, which was the trendy and fashionable place for Atlantans at the time. It was also the one-time home of the governor’s mansion. It experienced a decline in the 50’s due to suburbanization, but has since rebuilt itself to the nice, well-kept area it is today.
What’s Unique About the Area
For starters, Ansley park is recognized by the National Historical Society as a Historic District in their National Registrar of Historic Places. Recognized as one of the ten greatest neighborhoods in Atlanta, Ansley Park continues to be the one of the most affluent and desirable neighborhoods in the city. The expansive green spaces are abundant and very well kept. Ansley Park is west of Piedmont Park and East of Midtown.
Architecture
Like many of Atlanta’s cities, Ansley Park has a variety of magnificent architecture styles represented. In one of their many subdivisions you may find standard subdivision homes, Victorian-style, bungalows, and combo homes all next to each other. Recently, modern architecture has started to sprout up in this area as well.
